Where do you find continued inspiration?

I do find inspiration in my whole life.

1create - 2008 Zero and nothingness by Horacio Petre

Driving my bike, travelling in buses, at home with my wife and son, with my friends and relatives. I find inspiration in literature, other people’s artwork and music…

The whole world is a continuous fountain of inspiration for me.

What do you hope to achieve?

Not sure at all…

Just drawing and painting is an achievement in itself…

I feel all kind of emotions, I think about thousands of things when I’m drawing or painting.

What are your struggles?

There are for me, basically two kind of struggles…

The artistic ones:

Sometimes I feel I’m not good enough in certain techniques or I can’t catch the essence of what I’m trying to represent or express.

The non artistic struggles:

Lack of time, money or space to do my artwork.

Have you achieved what you want?

Yes and no…

I mean, every time I’m drawing or painting I feel I’m doing one of the things that make feel more happy in life.

But sometimes I can’t get what I expected, or feel unhappy with the results of any drawing or painting experience.

How did you achieve your success?

Success and unsuccess are so mysterious… I’m not sure at all…

Sometimes you work hard, even you can make a great connection between you and the world… And it doesn’t mean you’ll have necessarily any kind of success.

Sometimes you do something without planning anything at all..

And success arrives…

What I do believe, is that discipline and predisposition to full inspiration are essential… If you can deal with it in your own life, that means in itself an huge success.

Is there anything else you would like to share about your story?

I prefer to call my self as an author instead of an artist.

I draw and paint… that’s what I do.

Then the others can see my works and so they should decide if it is art or not… It’s not the more important for me.
