Sense embraces the force
There’s a stirring in the force
On Saturday 25th March around 12pm there will be something going on at the Newland Avenue branch and you just might see a visitor from the Dark Side.
Sense – A national charity that supports people who are deafblind, have sensory impairments or complex needs, to enjoy more independent lives have embraced the force to raise money.
Daniel Ward deputy Manager at Sense on Newland Avenue in Hull (2017 UK City of Culture) has been tasked with raising money for an exclusive and amazing prize giveaway.
The Hull Newland Avenue branch of the charity has taken a creative approach to marketing this lead by Daniel Ward with NADOCS, Joe Cosway and Zoe Carver of SHTF Industries being brought in to paint a mural in the Newland Avenue shop window in homage of the Star Wars campaign.
This has since been covered by the local press being seen here in the Hull Daily Mail on the 23rd March 2017 but something bigger is stirring…
How it started
A film industry prop maker and huge Star Wars fan, Neil Ellis spent 8 months collecting autographs from the cast and crew of Star Wars including Harrison Ford, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega and the late Carrie Fisher.
Neil has kindly decided to donate this unique autograph book enclosed within a bronze case to the charity but rather than auction it off has allowed all fans to have an equal chance of winning by entering a £5 raffle with all proceeds going to the charity!
1create.co.uk are fully behind this campaign as this is something that will affect all of us at some point in our lives.
