Sue Caulfield Artist and Designer

1create - Sue Caulfield Certificate of Appreciation

I have have been a practising artist for over 12 years and qualified as a designer when I gained my Degree – Applied Creative Design at Hull School of Art and Design in 2012.

I would describe myself as a contemporary Fine Artist as I practice many processes including; Illustration, Painting, Photography, sculpture as well as designing. I also deliver creative workshops for children and adults.

I have long been fascinated with the female form so those who know me will not be surprised I am revisiting this subject with the added idea of movement.

This selection from a growing body of work regarding ballerinas was inspired by a trip to the Royal Opera House in London.

It was here that I discovered a small exhibition of the lead ballerina costume that had been worn for performances of Swan Lake.

The costume was suspended in such a position, it was as though the ballerina was still wearing it and was mid movement.

Prints are available through 1create.
